The trees were tall and green. We were looking for one of the best resorts in Jim Corbett to spend our long weekend. As soon as we entered the resort, the staff greeted us with warm smiles. They gave us refreshing drinks made from local fruits. The resort is located right near the forest. You can hear the birds chirping all day. The luxury of the rooms was amazing. We had large windows that opened to the view of the hills. It was the perfect start to our Holi trip. Instead, we woke up to the sound of the wind. Before the colors started, we went for a short nature walk. The resort arranged a guide for us. We walked through the trails and saw beautiful flowers blooming. The forest looks very colorful in March. It felt like nature was also playing its own version of Holi. Many resorts in Jim Corbett offer these walks, but the knowledge of our guide made it special. He pointed out different birds and animal tracks. We sat under the shade of a big tree and enjoyed our lunch. The food was fresh and had a local touch. It was luxury dining in the middle of the wilderness. I have stayed at another Jim Corbett resort before, but the food here was much better. We went back to our luxury room to clean up. The bathrooms were large and had high-quality toiletries. Later in the evening, we spent time by the pool. The water was cool, and the view of the forest was stunning. We watched the sun go down behind the trees. The sky turned orange and purple. It was a moment of pure peace. Most resorts in Jim Corbett focus only on the safari, but this place focuses on the overall experience of the guest. In the city, we usually go to sleep feeling tired after Holi.
