The fort was made by the Shah Jahan in the 17th century of the Mughal Emperor. The fort was under 200 years of Mughal emperor. After the time of independence the fort was taken over by the Indian army in 1947.
The fort was designed by Ustad Ahmad Lahori, also the architect of Taj Mahal. The fort is especially designed by the red sandstone due to which it is named as red fort. Red fort is in red and white color but the mughal painted it all red.

Lotus temple was made in 1986 and located in western bank of Yamuna river. It was designed by one of the Iranian architects, Fariborz Sahba.
The motive to design the lotus temple is that all the people of all nine religions can worship there with all their faith. It is the combination of all the nine religions in the world. No god is an idol kept in the lotus temple. People can come to visit there to find peace and solace.
